Washougal — The Salvation Army in Washougal is celebrating its 20th anniversary and its new facility on Feb. 24 and 25.Feb. 24 will kick off with a 1 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony at the nonprofit, located at 1612 I St. Afterwards, visitors can enter a raffle and collect passport stamps while taking a self-guided tour. Carnival games, such as life-sized Operation and Connect Four, food and live music will keep the party going until the building dedication at 6:30 p.m. Northwest Brass and Chorus will perform.To recognize The Salvation Army’s 20 years of service and ministry in Camas and Washougal, there will be a special service 11 a.m. Feb. 25. After the service, a time capsule will be buried that will be opened in a decade. Northwest Brass and Chorus will perform that day, as well.
